How to Stay Safe

During the pandemic, it is important that everyone does their best to follow safety regulations. Wearing a mask should be common knowledge due to the spread of the virus. In addition, health experts like Helen Lee Schifter recommend drinking lots of fluids. With an unknown cure still circulating, it’s important to follow safety precautions as closely as possible.

If a person were to be diagnosed with COVID-19, the first step is to quarantine. Make sure to avoid anyone else and don’t go to any stores. People need to make sure that they don’t come in contact with anyone or they could infect others. If a person is just trying to stay clear of the virus, then they should be maintaining a distance of six feet as well. It is critical that people sanitize themselves constantly. After being outdoors, make sure showers are taken. Keep small sanitizers near buy in case contact is accidentally made with someone or a commonly touched item. Wearing long sleeves and covering garments can help reduce the risk of skin to skin contact.

If you suspect that you may have been exposed to the virus or have been in contact with a person showing symptoms of the disease, it is recommended that you get yourself tested using same day Covid PCR test or ThermoGenesis COVID 19 test kit at a medical clinic. If found positive, you should tell the people you’ve been in contact with to get themselves tested and quarantined. Helen Lee Schifter hopes people will wear masks and put the public over their own discretion.
